Retail - Change of use

Simple Utility Networks supported a retail unit owner by managing the energy requirements for a change of use for their building. The client had no prior knowledge or experience and needed to split the existing premises into two retail outlets over separate floors with their own individual connections and supply.

We carried out all planning and applications to the relevant Distribution Network Operators (DNOs). We negotiated commercial contracts for both connections and installed single-phase electricity and gas supplies. Along with new meter installations, including meter boxes to the property's exterior, we handled the planning of works required on the owner's private land. This included excavating and reinstating trench works and installing sufficient ducting and pipework to comply with regulations.
